All Heros, be it off East or West have one thing in common. They set off a journey before they come to a realisation of their heroics. Hercules from the west and Rama, Lakshmana from East are best examples. The heroics come from being sure of who they are. They make an external journey in the story which is a metaphor for a journey inwards.
Psychologists say once and only when one set off to that inner journey we may find who he/she really is. This basic layer of one is called Personality. This Personality is formed of a basic building block called Emotions. These emotions are the main reason for a person to act or react in a certain manner. If you set off to an external journey it is wise to choose a vehicle of your convenience. Same way, the journey inwards too, needs a vehicle. The vehicle we provide you is ENNEAGRAM
Enneagram means Nine points. A point is a symbology for an emotion. There are nine basic emotions that guide our actions and reactions. Once we know our basic emotion, which dominates our day to day action, we will be in a better position to react and face the world. The ultimate process of Enneagram is to give tranquility to a person and that tranquility comes from the acceptance of who we are, rather than what we desired to be. This Enneagram is a powerful tool that may even show you the Unknown of Johari window as this deals with the subconscious.
The Unknow is always a shadow. What is a shadow? Here, a master explains
” The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.” -C.G.Jung
