The sustainability of any business is based on one thing. That most important one thing is Business Communication. The Business is predominantly for solving an existing problem by offering a solution and trading that solution for a price. That is why money is called as medium of exchange. If a business, which has a brilliant solution for a current problem, but is not effective in communicating that business; then it is doomed to fail. The business communication has evolved with the ages, and it is imperative for a business owner to know and adapt to the changes happened in the space of business communication.

The Types of modern Business communication:

There are so many options now to communicate your business with the consumers, shareholders, stake holders and to the public at large. Many may not be good in certain aspects and I am seeing that every day in my Facebook feeds. There is a method of communicating in various platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, snapchat, Blogging and of course websites and Emails. I am sure there are lot of people who have not thought well enough. I intend to give a graph of what media can be used for what below.

I want to address another important issue to be addressed here, that is writing business emails. Email marketing is unfortunately is looked down, in the modern era of social media marketing. But the fact remains solid that email marketing is the number one way to market online. Yes, It is a double edged sword, but when did correctly it yields a great result. All you have to do is follow a simple process.

The Process:

  • Use Facebook or Twitter to increase traffic to your website
  • Offer something Valuable for free
  • Ask people‚Äôs email Id for that offering
  • Send mails with some kind of value
  • Have a great subject line. It should be tempting or shocking. Something that catches attention.
  • Explain what you have to offer in a crisp manner, but interestingly
  • Place some incentives in the first few emails. Like a free 7 day course or video lessons.

 

I still believe email marketing has a great potential to increase the profit of a business multifold. The key is to have clarity on the steps to follow
